Huawei highlights AI networking, computing and cloud capabilities as Saudi Arabia’s ICT market continues to expand.
Saudi Arabia’s ICT market is valued at $65.45 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach $101.30 billion by 2031, according to Mordor Intelligence. The market is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.13% through 2031.
Against this backdrop, Huawei is showcasing its AI networking, computing and cloud capabilities at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, with a focus on technologies supporting AI workloads across Saudi industries.
Huawei is highlighting AI-enhanced networking technologies including Agentic RAN, AI OTN and AI WAN, alongside its existing 5G, routing and optical networking technologies. The company is also showcasing its Atlas SuperPoD AI infrastructure, which can support configurations of up to 8,192 NPUs.
Huawei says its in-house developed infrastructure portfolio spans networking, compute, storage and optical technologies, alongside its AI software platforms as a result of investing 20% of its annual revenue in R&D.
AI Networking and Cloud Infrastructure
Huawei says its AI-Centric Network is designed to support AI workloads through features including lossless transmission, network autonomy, performance assurance and built-in security.
On the cloud side, Huawei Cloud operates Class C 3AZ public cloud nodes in Saudi Arabia. According to Huawei, these nodes keep data within the Kingdom and can deliver response times of under 25 milliseconds.
The company says the local cloud infrastructure is intended to support workloads where data residency and security requirements are important, including sovereign AI deployments.
Huawei is also working with local and global partners to deploy AI applications across sectors including government, energy and finance.
Developing Local AI Skills
Alongside its technology portfolio, Huawei is highlighting its investment in local skills development. The company operates more than 30 ICT Academies in Saudi Arabia and says it trains around 10,000 ICT professionals annually.
The company’s presence at LEAP 2026 comes as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its digital infrastructure and AI capabilities. Mordor Intelligence’s latest analysis points to cloud, AI and other digital technologies as drivers of ICT investment in the Kingdom, with cloud deployment accounting for 43.43% of the Saudi ICT market in 2025.
