IWD 2025: Tanu Chopra, Founder, Chief Storyteller, Hope Founderz

Tanu Chopra, Founder & Chief Storyteller, Hope Founderz emphasizes on creating a workplace where people feel safe to be themselves, knowing they’re valued and respected

Tanu Chopra: Diversity and inclusion aren’t just big ideas—they’re built through the small, everyday actions we take.  This year’s IWD theme, Accelerate Action,” is a reminder that real change happens through small, intentional steps. It’s about making space for every voice, supporting those who need guidance, and challenging biases in how we hire, promote, and work together. Most importantly, it’s about creating a workplace where people feel safe to be themselves, knowing they’re valued and respected.

As a communications professional and storyteller, I’ve seen how sharing diverse experiences can connect us, help us see the world differently, and understand each other better.

Beyond work, embracing differences—whether through cultural celebrations, team-building, or simply listening with an open mind—helps us grow together. Small gestures, like acknowledging someone’s contribution or uplifting a colleague’s ideas, can make a real difference.

Creating an inclusive world isn’t about grand gestures. It’s more about the everyday choices we make to support, include, and empower each other. Let’s keep moving forward—together.

Tanu Chopra: I didn’t come from a tech background, but I’ve always loved stories and connecting with people. When I started working with tech leaders, helping them shape their narratives and share their ideas in a way that resonated, I realized that tech isn’t just about the gadgets, it’s about people and solving problems.

Seeing how technology can positively impact lives is what truly inspires me. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some phenomenal brands and leaders, and for me, it’s always about finding the human story behind the technology.

Tanu Chopra: Oprah Winfrey, definitely. Her authenticity and ability to connect with people have always inspired me.

Closer to home, I’ve been inspired by the strong women in my family who’ve shown me the importance of empathy and grace. Role models aren’t just public figures; they’re the everyday heroes who shape our lives.
