Digital Dubai has recognised WSO2, as one of its high-performing suppliers for 2024. The award was presented to WSO2 at the Dubai Government Pavilion at GITEX Global 2025, highlighting the successful partnership that supports Dubai’s vision of becoming a connected and fully digital government.
Through this collaboration, Digital Dubai leverages WSO2’s integration and identity technology to deliver secure, seamless, and scalable digital services across multiple government entities. The partnership enables data interoperability, unified citizen access, and robust privacy and security standards, forming a critical foundation for the city’s “City as a Service” model.
“We are honored to be recognised by Digital Dubai as a high-performing supplier,” said Uday Shankar Kizhepat, WSO2’s Vice President and General Manager for the MEA region. “Our partnership reflects a shared vision of using open technologies to deliver unified and intelligent digital services that enhance government efficiency and improve the lives of Dubai’s residents and businesses.”
The recognition took place during Digital Dubai’s Annual Suppliers Connect, held as part of the 45th edition of GITEX Global 2025 under the theme “Digitalizing Life in Dubai.” The event brought together representatives from major local and international companies to strengthen collaboration across Dubai’s digital ecosystem.
Digital Dubai is developing an integrated procurement ecosystem based on strategic partnerships across three supplier categories. These include strategic suppliers, who deliver value-added services, drive innovation, and promote sustainability; vital suppliers, who provide essential goods and services critical to business continuity; and operational suppliers, who offer day-to-day, low-risk products and services.
During the event, H.E. Tariq Al Janahi, CEO of the Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, together with senior officials, honored a group of distinguished partners in recognition of their contributions to the emirate’s digital transformation journey.
WSO2’s role as a strategic technology partner has evolved beyond traditional supplier engagement into a long-term, innovation-driven collaboration. The company’s platforms enable Digital Dubai to integrate systems across entities, automate workflows, and deliver unified access experiences for citizens and businesses, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in digital governance, added Kizhepat.
The event reaffirmed Digital Dubai’s commitment to empowering suppliers and partners as vital contributors to the wider transformation ecosystem, thereby strengthening public–private collaboration to advance innovation and improve quality of life in Dubai.
