Veeam Named Leader in Gartner Privacy UX Magic Quadrant

⏱️ 2 min read

Veeam says it has been named a Leader in the first Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privacy UX. Gartner evaluated vendors based on their Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute.

Veeam’s privacy capabilities are designed to help organizations identify personal data, manage access and apply privacy policies across production systems and backup environments. This includes managing data consent, preferences and individual rights, as well as supporting compliance and audits.

“You can’t protect what you don’t understand, and you can’t promise privacy you can’t prove,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. He said privacy controls must apply to every copy of personal data, including backups.

The recognition follows Veeam’s acquisition of Securiti AI in December 2025 and the launch of its DataAI Command Platform.

Veeam Privacy UX Offerings

  • DataAI Privacy: Applies privacy policies based on users and jurisdictions, using a People Data Graph to map personal data across hybrid and multicloud environments.
  • Privacy across backups: Veeam says its DataAI Command Graph extends data classification and data security posture management (DSPM) to production and backup data, helping organizations account for sensitive information when recovering systems.
  • DataAI Compliance: Maps controls and evidence to more than 100 regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, DORA and the EU AI Act, according to Veeam.
