SolarWinds says Avior will help IT teams define goals, coordinate specialized agents, and track progress across hybrid digital ecosystems.
SolarWinds has announced the launch of Avior, an agentic AI system for mission-critical IT environments. According to SolarWinds, Avior will help IT teams define goals, coordinate specialized agents, and track progress across hybrid digital ecosystems. As a standalone application, Avior can diagnose issues and perform root cause analysis across products and environments.
SolarWinds Avior Core Pillars
SolarWinds says, Avior is built on three core pillars to ensure the system delivers powerful outcomes within strict guardrails:
- Goal-Oriented: Operates within a control loop in pursuit of measurable goals
- Transparent: Shows its reasoning in detailed, auditable language an operator can understand
- Controlled: Enables fine-grained autonomy control at every level
What Avior Can Do for Enterprise IT
According to SolarWinds, Avior supports several IT operations:
- Reduce alert noise — Correlate related events into a single incident.
- Check compliance — Audit devices against policy baselines and record changes.
- Remediate configuration drift — Detect unauthorized configuration changes and restore previous configurations.
- Back up configurations — Schedule configuration backups and flag devices that are not covered.
- Monitor capacity and costs — Track resource utilisation and spending against defined thresholds.
- Manage IT assets — Remove obsolete assets from monitoring and track inventory, firmware versions and end-of-life exposure.

“IT operations have long been measured by how quickly teams can respond,” said Cullen Childress, Interim CEO and Chief Product Officer at SolarWinds. “But as environments become more complex, distributed, and noisy, reaction time alone is no longer enough. Organizations need to move proactively, reduce operational risk, and build resilience into the way IT work gets done. Avior was designed to meet this moment, helping teams shift from managing alerts to orchestrating outcomes with clear goals, guardrails, and control.”
Avior is available beginning October 14, 2026, through a guided onboarding program, said SolarWinds.
