New Nutanix collaborations cover NVIDIA Vera CPU support, private AI inference with Supermicro, and multitenant AI infrastructure with Netris.
Nutanix is collaborating with NVIDIA, Supermicro and Netris on infrastructure designed to support production AI workloads, including agentic AI, private inference and multitenant AI services. The initiatives combine Nutanix software with NVIDIA CPUs, GPUs and networking, Supermicro server systems, and Netris network automation
Nutanix Plans Support for NVIDIA Vera CPUs
Nutanix plans to work towards Day Zero support for NVIDIA Vera CPUs, starting with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) Bare Metal, with planned expansion to virtualized Nutanix environments.
Agentic AI workloads involve more than GPU-based inference. They also require CPUs to handle tasks such as code execution, tool calls, data retrieval and orchestration between model operations.
Nutanix plans to combine Vera CPU support with NVIDIA OpenShell, which provides secure runtime environments for AI agents, and its NKP platform. The companies say the integration is intended to support agent execution while providing a consistent operating model across AI infrastructure.
Nutanix and Supermicro Develop Private AI Inference System
Nutanix and Supermicro are planning a jointly engineered AI infrastructure solution based on validated Supermicro server systems, NVIDIA GPUs, Nutanix Agentic AI (NAI) and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking.
The proposed system is designed to simplify deployment of on-premises GPU infrastructure for private AI inference, reducing the need for customers to assemble and integrate components from multiple vendors.
Nutanix will provide its AI cloud management capabilities and storage for AI workloads. The companies say the architecture is designed to scale GPU capacity as requirements change, while supporting the deployment and management of inference workloads.
Nutanix and Netris Target Multitenant AI Infrastructure
Nutanix and Netris are collaborating on network automation and tenant isolation for multitenant AI infrastructure, including environments built around NVIDIA Cloud Partner reference architectures.
Nutanix will provide compute, storage, security, Kubernetes and AI platform services across bare-metal and virtualized environments. Netris will provide network automation, abstraction and multitenancy across the physical network, including hardware-enforced isolation between tenants.
The companies aim to enable cloud service providers to onboard tenants and deliver AI services through a self-service operating model.
Mohammad Abulhouf, Vice President and GM for the Middle East and Africa at Nutanix, said “organisations in the region are moving beyond AI experimentation and seeking ways to deploy AI securely and at scale. He added that the collaborations are intended to help organisations manage infrastructure complexity and costs as they move AI workloads into production.”
