UiPath has announced the launch of the UiPath Conversational Agent with voice interaction enabled by Google’s Gemini models. UiPath customers can now build agentic automation into business processes quickly and seamlessly without the need for complex coding and manual effort.
Text-based AI agents excel at precise tasks like analyzing data, editing documents, or drafting formal messages. However, they struggle with spontaneous or dynamic interactions. Voice interactions add context, nuance, and collaboration, allowing AI agents to handle unpredictable tasks more effectively. As AI adoption grows, voice will become a natural way to interact with AI agents.
Using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, UiPath lets users create and manage automation with natural speech, just like a developer or process owner would with code or workflows. The voice agent offers high speech recognition accuracy, multilingual support, fast real-time responses, and smart tool selection. Advanced features include emotion-aware dialogue and proactive audio, allowing AI agents to interact naturally and effectively by voice.
