HUAWEI CONNECT 2023: Resilient Network Whitepaper Released

Mr. Zhou Yu, President of Huawei Network Consulting and System Integration, and Simon Sherrington, R&D Director of Analysys Mason, attended the Huawei Connected Conference Open Speech today, and delivered the “Huawei Resilient Network Solutions. After the speech, representatives of the two sides jointly released the Resilience Network Whitepaper.

Stable networks are the basis for digital transformation and development of various industries. However, network accidents of various types around the world are still frequent and becoming more and more serious. As a result, a large number of services are damaged and the brand image of some top enterprises is seriously affected. As a world-leading ICT infrastructure provider, Huawei believes that assessing, constructing, and optimizing networks based on resilient standards can effectively address the pain points of frequent network accidents around the world. Therefore, it is necessary to work with global partners in the industry to build a unified architecture and systematically link and implement business strategies to network resilience, and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the industry. The release of the Resilience Network Whitepaper is the first step for Huawei and Analysy Mason to jointly promote the building of the architecture system.

The Resilience Network Whitepaper describes Huawei and Analysys Mason’s comprehensive and systematic thinking on resilient networks from the aspects of overall strategy, resilience standards, assessment methods, and assurance for network modernization. In terms of the overall strategy, “Design-in” is used to ensure resilience from the beginning of design. The effect of end-to-end strength will be much better than that of focusing on maintenance and improvement in the past. Comprehensively evaluate the network resilience in terms of impact resistance, service impact, fault spread, and perception. In terms of assessment methods, the digital twin platform is introduced to quantitatively assess network resilience with various network impact. In terms of assurance for network modernization, the simulation platform is used to ensure zero network interruption during network evolution.

The Resilience Network Whitepaper formally released at the launch ceremony

The release of this white paper marks the official launch of Huawei’s resilient network solution to the market. It will systematically solve in various ways of the network risks and faults encountered by customers from the design. For the industry, the standards and evaluation methods of resilient networks and the Netlive platform of the digital twin in the white paper are all best practices for reference in the industry, guiding the industry’s understanding of resilient networks and the development direction of related industries. As relevant parties, including governments, third-party institutions, and head enterprises from all walks of life, participate in the overall framework of the resilience network, from governance to planning to operation, and work together to turn resilience into a resilient foundation that supports the digital intelligence transformation of thousands of industries.
