Burcu Cansever Ezer, Channel Account Manager, Infoblox shares; diversity isn’t just about representation; it’s about making sure every voice has a seat at the table, and that starts with action
What are your views on this year’s IWD 2025 theme “Accelerate Action”, how can we truly achieve diversity and inclusion in the workplace?
Burcu Cansever Ezer: The IWD 2025 theme, “Accelerate Action,” reminds us that real change needs urgency. To truly achieve diversity and inclusion, companies must go beyond policies. This means fair hiring, strong leadership, and a workplace where everyone feels valued. Taking real steps, like mentorship and accountability, will create lasting impact. Diversity isn’t just about representation; it’s about making sure every voice has a seat at the table, and that starts with action.
Can you share your journey into the tech world and what inspired you to pursue this, where did it all start?
Burcu Cansever Ezer: My journey in tech started in sales and marketing within cybersecurity, where I quickly realized how much technology shapes businesses and everyday life. What inspired me was the constant learning and problem-solving that comes with working in this field. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow, collaborate with great teams, and support partners and customers in their digital transformation journeys. Technology keeps evolving, and that’s what makes it such an exciting and rewarding space to be in.
Who would you consider your role model, someone who constantly inspires you? (Does not really have to be from the professional world only, can be someone at home too)
Burcu Cansever Ezer: There are more than one who inspire me, but there are two names the first that come to mind. Marie Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person to win in two different sciences. Her dedication, intelligence, and courage in a male-dominated field set an example for generations of women in science. On the other hand, my mom has always been my biggest inspiration. Her resilience, hard work, and unwavering support have shaped my approach to life and work. She taught me the value of perseverance, adaptability, and believing in myself, qualities that continue to guide me in my career and beyond.
