How is Paessler evolving beyond traditional IT monitoring — especially with the rise of IoT, OT, and industrial environments?
Of course we are very strong when it comes to IT monitoring and we have been working in this sector for more than 25 years. However as a German company we have seen how beneficial PRTG can be to the OT & IoT industries, especially in industrial manufacturing. We help our customers to unify their monitoring across departments, breaking down silos and driving better outcomes. That means IT managers, plant engineers and facility operators can finally share the source of truth for uptime and performance. Our remote probe technology allows secure, distributed monitoring across sites without disrupting production network.
How is Paessler integrating AI/Automation into its solutions like PRTG to improve visibility and proactive response?
Automation has always been a big focus for PRTG and of course with the rise of AI, we are also investing in this technology to see how this can be used to help our customers. Some of our automation features include anomaly detection, smart notifications and similar trend detection which allows our users to reduces costs and improves IT teams response times. With our API this also gives us so much flexibility when it comes to running scripts or integrating with tools and applications.
With rapid IT infrastructure modernization, what opportunities or challenges are you seeing in this region?
With the region moving fast toward smart cities, digital healthcare and industry 4.0, there’s huge demand for integrated monitoring across data centres, edge sites and industrial systems. We meet this challenge by constantly staying ahead of the curve. We have developed a new database behind PRTG which triples the amount of devices we can monitor and we’re looking forward to releasing this new innovation soon! This new database will make scaling easier and will allow us to keep up with the demands of the region ensuring our customers can grow with us.
Could you share how your monitoring solutions help organizations reduce energy consumption and operate more efficiently?
You can’t manage what you can’t measure. PRTG enables organisations to track energy consumption, cooling performance and environmental data in real time. We can detect inefficiencies quickly so that adjustments can be made delivering outputs that contribute to greener operations. Paessler is always looking at ways on how we can contribute to reducing the worlds carbon footprint and by using data to make smarter decisions, we can make big impacts quickly!
