MENA’s esports gaming and esports agency PLG has released its second series of its popular educational platform “Stream School” in collaboration with Saudi Esports Federation’s “Voices of Saudi Esports” programme to elevate Saudi Arabia’s gaming content creation industry.

Available on weekly basis on PLG’s YouTube and Saudi Esports Federation’s social media channels starting from May 31st, the series is aimed at upskilling viewers by providing the tools and guidance needed to become a successful content creator. Delivered in Arabic and suitable for ages eight upwards, Stream School is addressing the rapid growth in the number of regional content creators  – reflected in a 30% increase in streamers coming online since the covid 19 pandemic. Hosted by one of the Arab region’s most popular Saudi streamers DRB7H who has a 4M+ following, season 2 will offer free creative, technical and commercial video toolkits which are not available anywhere else for budding content creators to access.

Series 1 of PLG’s Stream School attracted an audience of 1.34M views and 35.3M impressions and enjoyed an engagement level of 16%, vs the industry standard of 5%. The largest portion of viewers came from Saudi Arabia at 70% and overall the gender split was 43% female and 57% male. Commenting Matthew Pickering, CEO PLG: “as gaming, esports and associated content creation continues to expand at a tremendous pace in the region, PLG remains passionate and fully invested in upskilling talent in this space.
