Data is growing across almost every environment, from AI and cloud infrastructure to video analytics, business applications, gaming and content creation. But it is not only the volume of data that is increasing. Its potential value is growing too, as data retained today can support future insights, innovation and new applications.
As data grows in volume and value, how it is stored matters. Some applications need fast access to data, while others need the capacity to retain large volumes of information reliably and cost-effectively over time. This makes choosing storage based on the needs of each workload increasingly important.
Seagate offers a broad portfolio designed to address these different requirements across data centers, businesses and consumer environments.
Storage Designed for Different Workloads:
| Product | Designed for | How it helps |
| Seagate Exos | Enterprise and data center environments | High-capacity storage for large and growing datasets, helping organizations scale capacity efficiently while making better use of space, power and supporting infrastructure. |
| Seagate Nytro | Enterprise applications with performance-intensive storage requirements | Enterprise SSD storage designed for workloads where fast data access, responsiveness and consistent performance are important. |
| Seagate SkyHawk AI | AI-enabled video analytics | Designed for 24/7 video environments where large volumes of video and analytics data are continuously generated and retained. |
| Seagate IronWolf / IronWolf Pro | NAS, SMB and creative environments | Designed for multi-bay NAS systems and shared, always-on storage environments. |
| Seagate FireCuda and external storage | Gaming, content creation and personal storage | Provides capacity and performance options for growing game libraries, high-resolution media and creative content. |

Scaling capacity through Seagate Storage Technology
As data continues to grow, data centers need to add storage capacity while managing constraints around space, power and infrastructure.
Seagate’s Mozaic platform addresses this challenge by increasing areal density, or the amount of data that can be stored on each disk. Powered by Seagate’s heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) technology, the latest Mozaic platform delivers more than 4TB per disk, with capacities up to 44TB qualified by customers.
- Higher density, same footprint: More terabytes per disk means more capacity per drive and per rack without changing the standard hard drive form factor.
- Greater infrastructure efficiency: In a modeled one-exabyte deployment, the latest Mozaic technology delivers approximately 47% greater infrastructure efficiency compared with standard 30TB drives, requiring fewer drives, less data center space and lower power consumption.
- Built for continued data growth: Higher-density storage enables organizations to scale capacity across cloud, enterprise and AI-driven environments while supporting existing infrastructure and deployment models.
