Interview: Empowering Customers Through Innovation

In conversation with Sakkeer Hussain, Director – Sales & Marketing at D-Link Middle East & Africa as he discusses, how innovation can solve business challenges and D-Link’s investments in R&D.

How has D-Link innovated in the past 2-3 years as a company and how has it reflected on revenue/growth?

D-Link has been innovating in a number of ways in the past few years. We have been at the forefront of developing new Wi-Fi technologies, smart home products and introducing new mesh networking products. Additionally, we have also invested significantly in R&D, which has enabled us to offer our customers ground-breaking solutions and products that truly solve their business challenges. All these efforts have contributed to our consistent growth and enabled us to continue our market-leading position. 

There have been new product introductions in the recent past by D-Link, please share your vision on these new product lines?

Recently D-Link has introduced mesh routers and extenders called AQUILA PRO AI series Wi-Fi 6/6E. The cutting-edge mesh system offers enhanced connectivity and reliability of smart home networks. 

D-Link’s all-new DMS-3130 series include a range of Layer 3 Stackable Multi-Gigabit Managed Switches, designed to seamlessly connect devices within a secure enterprise or Metro Ethernet access network. The new switches support multicasting and enhanced security, making them the ideal multi-Gigabit access layer solution. Designed for customers requiring maximum network uptime, both models (the DMS-3130-30PS and the DMS-3130-30TS)  support redundant power supplies and essential reliability features to enhance network resilience.

D-View 8 is a powerful and scalable network management tool that offers users end-to-end visibility and complete control of their business network infrastructure. Designed to meet the evolving needs of medium-to-large enterprises, D-View 8 delivers advanced multi-site, multi-network monitoring, management, and automation capabilities in a user-friendly platform. 

These new releases showcase D-Link’s commitment to innovation and this is something we will never compromise on. We are constantly looking for the next new solution or product that will empower our customers even further and help achieve their business goals. 

Enterprise Networks need robust solutions to keep up, what challenges do IT Heads face around Networks and how is D-Link solving them?

Tech leaders are facing several challenges when it comes to enterprise networks. These include the increasing number of connected devices putting a heavy strain on the network, the need for high performance and availability at all times, the critical need for security and compliance and so on. IT heads are seeking robust solutions to support their growing IT networks. At D-Link, we understand these challenges really well and help to address them by developing innovative and strong networking solutions, keeping the customer at the heart of our developments. 

D-Link offers end-to-end networking solutions such as high-performance switches, robust wireless solutions, advanced security solutions, network management and cloud-based solutions, to enable customers to focus on core business and ensure their networks are reliable and high performing.  

With Hybrid workspace gaining momentum like never before, how is D-Link helping businesses achieve end-to-end Hybrid capabilities?

At D-Link, we keep the customer at the heart of our innovations and also aim to be few steps ahead of the market demands through our extensive R&D center. All our offerings support and promote hybrid working, be it our networking solutions or wireless portfolio or enterprise-grade routers and access points, and they all have a security-first design. 

The Channel is an integral part of your strategy in the region, what goes on behind building and managing a strong Channel?

Building and managing a strong channel is essential for D-Link’s success. Our strong network of channel partners continues to enable us to reach a wider audience, increase sales exponentially, and build deep relationships with our customers. This is why it is important to select the right partners who have a growth mindset and provide continuous training and support. At D-Link, we ensure we have regular communication with our partners and engage with them often. We also have an attractive partner program that helps to further motivate our partners. Our channel partners are D-Link’s extended arms in the market and we value their collaboration.
