Can you tell us about your LEAP 2025 participation? What innovations did you showcase at LEAP this year?
Vertiv has been present in the Middle East, and specifically in KSA (The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), for over 40 years, participating in various formats and events. However, LEAP has provided us with a unique opportunity to express ourselves as a key player in the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure transformation.
One of our most significant milestones was last year’s establishment of Vertiv regional headquarters in KSA. With our team now based in Riyadh, we bring our expertise and innovation closer to the market. Our year-round presence allows us to engage directly with customers, understand their specific needs, and provide tailored solutions. For instance, Saudi Arabia’s extreme summer temperatures require specialized products and solutions, particularly in data center cooling. We offer unique and innovative cooling technologies designed to withstand the region’s harsh climate.
Additionally, our strong partner ecosystem enables us to deliver customized solutions efficiently. Some of our partnerships date back more than 45 years, such as our collaboration with MDS, part of the MIDIS Group, which began in 1979. Over the years, through acquisitions, mergers, and innovation, Vertiv has expanded its portfolio, and we are proud to bring this expertise to Saudi Arabia through our local partners.
Also, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a major focus in recent years, and implementing AI requires robust critical infrastructure solutions. At Vertiv, we specialize in providing cutting-edge innovations that support AI deployment, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
You have seen Saudi Arabia evolve over the last four decades, and the country is currently transforming at a rapid pace. How is Vertiv enabling this vision for the Saudi government?
Understanding Vision 2030 and translating it into actionable steps is crucial. One of the most exciting aspects of Saudi Arabia’s transformation is the government’s commitment to fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors. This dynamic approach accelerates innovation and implementation, making it easier for vendors, manufacturers, and developers to bring advanced solutions to market.

Saudi Arabia is investing in smart cities and sustainable infrastructure. How is Vertiv contributing to this vision?

Data centers are now evolving into AI-driven factories, requiring significantly more power. The challenge is to ensure that this increased power demand is met efficiently. At Vertiv, we address this challenge by providing high-density cooling solutions that optimize chip performance while maintaining energy efficiency considerably. Additionally, we focus on designing resilient and efficient electrical distribution systems that reduce energy waste.
Another critical aspect of data center deployment is reducing the environmental impact of construction, while making the solution scalable. Vertiv’s prefabricated modular solutions are essential for smart cities because they enable rapid deployment, energy efficiency, and scalability. These solutions integrate high-efficiency power and cooling technologies, reducing energy consumption while ensuring reliable uptime for critical applications like IoT, AI, and 5G. Their modular design allows cities to scale infrastructure seamlessly, supporting growing digital demands without major disruptions.

We are excited about our continued growth in Saudi Arabia. With our regional headquarters now established, we are strengthening our presence by being closer to our clients, engineering offices, and supply chain partners. Our goal is to enhance speed and efficiency in delivering solutions that drive the Kingdom’s digital transformation.
