Vertiv has acquired Strategic Thermal Labs, a liquid-cooling specialist, to strengthen its capabilities between server-level cooling and supporting infrastructure, an area that is increasingly important for AI and high-performance computing.
As computing demands grow, the interaction between server-level liquid cooling and infrastructure is becoming more important for overall system performance and reliability. Strategic Thermal Labs adds expertise in cold-plate design, liquid cooling, and high-density testing, helping Vertiv better model real-world conditions and support customers from design to ongoing operations.

Vertiv emphasized that the acquisition does not change its commitment to an open ecosystem approach. The company will continue to support interoperable, server‑ and silicon‑agnostic infrastructure solutions, with the goal of improving system‑level performance and customer outcomes across diverse compute environments.
