Red Sea Global requires reliable Wi-Fi across its expanding footprint, supported by an HPE Aruba Networking-based system designed to maintain connectivity and support operations.
HPE announced that Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer of The Red Sea and AMAALA, is using its self-driving network as the foundation for expanding its resorts. HPE AI-native network, with secure switching and Wi-Fi, is designed to help Red Sea Global scale efficiently while supporting sustainability and enhancing the visitor experience.
Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and backed by major tourism investment, RSG’s destinations are expected to add $8.79 billion annually to the economy and create 120,000 jobs when complete.
To support this, RSG needs a secure, seamless, Wi-Fi-focused guest experience across its expanding footprint. Its network, built on HPE Aruba Networking, provides secure, always-on connectivity to support smart operations, environmental monitoring, and personalized guest services, notes HPE.
“Choosing an AI-native self-driving network solution that meets our need for seamless connectivity while supporting our expansion plans was a critical priority for us,” said Sultan Moraished, Group Head of Technology and Corporate Excellence, Red Sea Global. “By selecting HPE, we are not only addressing day-to-day connectivity needs for our guests but also enabling a foundational digital platform that supports our broader strategic vision of delivering exceptional guest experiences.”
The Wi-Fi first environment leverages HPE Aruba Networking Wi-Fi 6E, supported by an end-to-end enterprise network that spans from the data center core to the edge. The Wi-Fi, for example, has enough bandwidth to support HD video streaming while cycling around the resort. The network currently includes approximately 17,000 access points and 10,000 switching and routing devices.
RSG leverages HPE Aruba Central AIOps for insight, automation and assurance, alongside HPE Aruba Networking CX switching to deliver consistent, high-performance connectivity across multiple locations.
Additionally, HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect Enterprise appliances are deployed, complete with bandwidth, security and high availability licenses for guests. This SD-WAN solution simplifies network architecture, improves orchestration and enhances application performance. The overall project will ensure 20,000 simultaneous network users’ expectations are met with an exceptional Wi-Fi experience.
“We are proud to support Red Sea Global in delivering one of the most ambitious hospitality projects in the region,” said Jacob Chacko, Regional Director, Middle East and Africa, Networking, HPE. “This collaboration demonstrates how secure, AI-native networking can act as a catalyst for innovation, helping organizations create highly personalized, digitally enabled environments while maintaining the scalability and resilience required for long-term growth.”
